The Technology Innovation Challenge benefits from esteemed Evaluation Panel judges, who have been thoughtfully selected for their knowledge and experience. Collectively, these renowned professionals bring diverse experience – from the public, private and nonprofit sectors – technology, homelessness, service delivery, and large-scale systems, and share a strong commitment to the fight against homelessness.

Each valid application will be reviewed from at least five Evaluation Panel experts specializing in their selected solution area using the scoring rubric. Each valid application will receive five sets of scores and feedback that have been statistically normalized. Informed by the Evaluation Panel resulting rank order, the County of LA will review top-scoring submissions to select up to 12 Finalists based on considerations that may include, but are not limited to capacity and feasibility. 

Once selected, Finalists will present more information on their solutions to the Selection Committee at a live pitch event in Los Angeles. The Selection Committee is comprised of key leaders from the County of Los Angeles and other subject matter experts, and will make a final determination as to the Winners of the Technology Innovation Challenge.
